Brava Connect Holiday Help

Special help for Independent travellers

When we set up Brava Connect it was for people who lived here, but we soon found out that others were interested in our help. Many people who come to live here eventually start with the all important holiday, then they fall in love with what they see and are usually drawn back.

Vast amounts of travellers go to Barcelona but completely miss The Costa Brava, Barcelona is a great day trip even when you are staying here, but believe me you will love what we have as well.

Travel has never been so easy and  being independent is fun, but not knowing where we are going can be a bit off putting. By letting us help you, you can be assured of a happy stress free holiday, but at the same time you won’t be paying for something you don’t need.

We have knowledge that one gets when living here and contacts for all sorts of services and we’d like to share them with you. You book your own flight to either Girona or Barcelona, preferably Girona as it’s situated right in the Costa Brava and we can suggest the best value hire car companies.

We will make sure you know where to come and will meet you to show you where your hotel or rental property is, which I will have introduced, but which you will book direct. You just fill me in as to what you want:-

  • An economy hotel
  • A luxury hotel
  • A rustic rural hotel
  • A seaside hotel
  • A rustic B & B
  • A coastal B & B
  • Rental property

Rather than just sell one venue, we prefer to sell The Costa Brava as a whole, that way you have a chance of discovering the secrets which are so well hidden unless you live and work here. With our help you will find places you could never find alone.  You may also be looking for entertainment, again I can introduce you to some really great activities.

Maybe you are  a group of ladies who would like to try a few things, without the pressure of your menfolk. Have you never played golf, why not try a tester day to see what you think? We can put a package together for you.

We are working on behalf of a number of local companies to introduce them to you. So choose a sport or entertainment:-

  • Golf
  • Cycling
  • Walking
  • Water Sports
  • Riding
  • Culinary

We only work with people whom we know and trust. Obviously the entertainment often has a bearing on the location for your accommodation.  But even then we will do my best to find the accommodation that suits you and your family or group. Again you will travel independently and book independently with the provider. This is will give you peace of mind that you are totally in control. We are just here to take away the pressure and to properly introduce you to this fabulous part of the world.

Prices are as follows:-

50€ + IVA  A small administration fee.  To be paid at the same time as the Hotel Booking. This includes our welcome meeting when you arrive and tips for how things work locally. Plus any information you need before you come.

If you are going to take part in a sport we will introduce you to the activity organiser. The fee will be an additional 30€ + IVA. and fuel.

160€ + IVA I can join you for a day out and show you some of the Costa Brava’s hidden secrets, this will save you a great deal of time if you want to fit a lot into your stay. All you need to do is to let me know what you enjoy and I will tailor the trip to suit you.

75€ + IVA for a half day.

I hope that you can see the advantages of using Brava Connect for holiday advice. I can highly recommend our budget hotel (Hotel number 2 on that page) and so if you want an economical stay in a great location, look no further.

This view is taken from one of the areas premier hotels ‘Hostal La Gavina’ looking down into San Pol Bay, famous for it’s fairytale castle, shown in many pictures. This bay is often shown as Sant Feliu de Guixols, but is in fact just around the coast. Driving from Sant Feliu towards Platja d’Aro you will come to S’Agaro and San Pol Bay is it’s nearest beach. This little bay sports various cafe’s and restaurants and is ideal for children or older people who don’t want to walk too far to get to a sandy beach. You will see some large modernist mansions built by Catalans who made their fortunes in Cuba (they are referred to locally as Cubanos) Trading sugar and tobacco in the late 19th century and then came back to spend it in their favourite seaside resorts along the Mediterranean.

From here you can take a wonderful walk around the coast to Sa Conca Beach which is on the edge of Platja d’Aro, walking this way you can’t fail to be impressed by the fabulous houses you’ll come across most of which were built in the 1920’s and 30’s, designed by Rafael Maso. When you finally reach Sa Conca, you can either continue walking over the beach and on to the Port at Platja d’Aro or return a quicker way behind the houses through the select community back to San Pol Bay. I can highly recommend this walk, which is particularly lovely on a sunny day, when the sea is clear blue, in the winter or in the summer.
